Here is an invitation to join the 6 day training in Theatre of the Oppressed from 24-29 September 2018 (Monday to Saturday)  at Goregaon east, Mumbai . 

This workshop will be facilitated by Ravi Ramaswamy from “The Centre for Community Dialogue and Change, Bangalore”

This is the tenth, week-long training in Theatre of the Oppressed!! Isn’t it amazing!!  The trainings have attracted participants from all over India as well as from Europe, Australia, the USA, Canada, the Middle East, and South East Asia.  

Theatre of the Oppressed (TO) is a creative community education tool that can deepen and transform your social, cultural and political work.  It is used the world over by educationists, theatre practitioners, NGOs, psychiatrists and many others. Its benefits have been felt by individuals and groups, in exploring one’s emotional, interpersonal and social self, in group building, conflict resolution etc.

The 6-Day Training will allow participants an opportunity to experience as well as reflect on the application in different contexts of many of the widely used games and exercises in Theatre of the Oppressed.  It is intended for beginners as well as those seeking to deepen their practice of Theatre of the Oppressed.

Maximum number of participants: 25

Participants have to commit to be present full-time on all days of the workshop (Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5.30pm daily)

Investment Rs.15,000 (inclusive of tuition, workshop material, lunch and snacks)

In the seven years since CCDC was founded in 2011, over 4000 people have participated in our workshops and attended our Forum performances. Many have personally benefited from the experience and found it to be of value in their professional lives too. We work with students, teachers, artists, activists, healthcare professionals & senior citizens.
