Six Day Training in Theatre of the Oppressed Monday December 16, 2013 - Saturday December 21, 2013 About this Workshop This workshop has been designed to meet the needs of a wide range of people wishing to use Theatre of the Oppressed in different contexts. It will give participants an experiential introduction to several of the well-known and widely used games, exercises and structures in T.O. as developed by Augusto Boal. These will include Image Theatre, Forum Theatre, Cop in the Head, and Rainbow of Desire. There will be extensive debrief sessions to discuss the pedagogic philosophy underlying the techniques. There will be discussions of facilitation issues and brief practice sessions for participants. The training will include a community workshop and a public Forum performance. The training will be useful for beginners as well as those looking to deepen their understanding and practice of Theatre of the Oppressed. Maximum number of participants : 25 Timings : 9.30 AM and 5.00 PM Participants have to commit to be present full-time on all days of the workshop. If you think you may not be able to do so, please do not register for the workshop. Registration FeeRs 7,500/- for the six days. This will include workshop handouts, lunch, and tea/coffee How to pay All payments must be made by demand drafts (banker’s cheques) or cheques drawn in favour of ‘Centre for Community Dialogue and Change’ (payable in Bangalore). Maximum number of participants : 20 Timings : 9.30 AM and 5.30 PM Participants have to commit to be present for the full time of the workshop. If you think you may not be able to do so, please do not register for the workshop. Registration fee Rs. 1,000/- . This will include workshop handouts, lunch, and tea/coffee during the workshop.
