Feedback from the 'Theatre and Pedagogy of the Oppressed' workshop for the Students of Journalism at the Mount Carmel College, Bangalore
Ravi Ramaswamy facilitated a Theatre and Pedagogy of the Oppressed workshop for final
year students of Journalism, Mount Carmel College, Bangalore.
11th, 14th,15th,16th ,18th, 21st and 22nd Dec.2017
This workshop has given me a unique perspective of theatre than the conventional theatre ......
best part which I liked about this type of theatre was anyone could
alter the play according to their respective wishes and that there are
no right or wrong answers. I liked
how people emerged with creative perceptions like how a matter like
relationship conflict was looked in different ways rather than one way. What I like about this form of theatre was there were many voices that spoke rather then just one dominant voice.
.....Image Theatre really stood out for me as through Silence a lot
could be conveyed, expressed and have an impact on an audience.
I realize that I judge people a lot, and don't really understand their perspective. I don't want to judge people.
In this workshop all of us could speak what we feel and different opinions, ideas was okay.
